We’re hiring: Sauna Coordinator
Updated: 1 day ago
UPDATE: Applications for this position will be closing on Sat 3rd October (midnight). We’re looking for a new Sauna Coordinator to join the team at Leeds Community Sauna.
Since opening at Kirkstall Valley Farm in November 2025, we’ve grown into a busy community sauna space, with two wood-fired saunas, cold plunges and a brilliant community of customers and staff.
Our Sauna Coordinators are at the heart of the day-to-day running of the site. You’ll be opening and closing the site, lighting and maintaining the fires, looking after our cold water systems, cleaning, welcoming customers and helping create a warm, safe and welcoming atmosphere.

We’re looking for someone who is friendly, reliable and organised; comfortable taking responsibility and using their initiative; and happy with practical, physical work outdoors throughout the year. You don’t need previous experience working in a sauna – we’ll provide training.
The core of the role is running sauna shifts, but there’s plenty of scope to bring your own skills and interests to LCS, get involved in other areas of the organisation, and, if you choose, begin the pathway towards Employee Membership, which means getting involved in the democratic control and stewardship of the co-operative.
We particularly welcome applications from people of colour, women, non-binary and trans people, disabled and neurodiverse people, and people of all ages and backgrounds who can bring different perspectives to our work.
Overview
Hours: 12–22 hours/week, usually 2–3 shifts per week
Pay: £13.35/hour
Contract: Permanent
Location: Kirkstall Valley Farm, Leeds
Benefits include:
31 days (6.2 weeks) pro-rata holiday
