Accessibility
At Leeds Community Sauna, we are committed to ensuring our space is welcoming and accessible to as many people as we can make possible. We believe that wellbeing should be inclusive and barrier-free.
We've just opened our doors, and haven't yet achieved our aspirations, but we are working towards holding an accessible space.

Our Site
Our site is off-grid and set in nature.
We have to following:
Cubicle changing rooms
Rubber matting flooring covering woodchip / gravel
Seating available
One Sauna with steps and a bannister
One plunge pool with decking
Quiet sessions
Parking directly next to the sauna site for blue badge holders (just tick the box on checkout and send us an email).

The Saunas
We have built one sauna so far, which has steps and a bannister. We are building a second sauna, which we think will need to have steps inside the sauna, but a ramp up to the door. We aim to make a fully wheelchair accessible sauna available in the future.

Focus Groups
We kicked off our commitment to greater accessibility with a disability and accessibility focus group. We plan to continue our learning with more staff training and future focus groups to enable feed-in from our community.
If you would like to be a part of future focus groups, or have any insight or comments to help us design an accessible experience, please contact us.
