£30k pro rata
Based at Kirkstall Valley Farm, option to work from home 1day/week
30 hours/week, including evenings, early starts and weekends.
What you’ll be doing
As Finance Officer, you’ll be taking the lead on the Finance Team at Leeds Community Sauna, where you’ll be overseeing our finances, with a particular focus on financial management, planning and analysis, and compliance. Alongside this role, you’ll be expected to spend a minimum of three shifts per week at the Sauna, partaking in the day-to-day tasks of opening the site, lighting the fires, welcoming customers, cleaning the saunas etc.
We expect that ca. 15 hours per week will be spent on administrative duties, half of which will be carried out at the Sauna site, with the option to work from home one day a week. The remaining hours per week will be spent on operational duties, where your role will be to ensure a positive, comfortable experience for everyone who comes along to use the site.
You’ll also be a Director Member of the cooperative, meaning you get an equal say with the rest of the team about how the business is run.
What we’re looking for:
Someone with experience of financial modelling, forecasting, and reporting
Somebody who is reliable and diligent, with excellent attention to detail
Someone who is able to work with complex information and spreadsheets, and is confident in using of online accounts software (such as Quickbooks)
AAT qualified or equivalent experience
Previous experience of bookkeeping and payroll systems
Experience of working in a customer-facing role
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Someone who enjoys working in a busy, welcoming and outdoor environment
A do-er - someone who is able to take initiative and problem-solve
Being passionate about saunas, community initiatives and cooperative working practices is a big plus!
